ENZO MARESCA is considering leaving Chelsea following a significant disagreement with the club's board.
The Italian manager did not attend the post-match press conference after the 2-2 draw with Bournemouth on Tuesday, with the club stating that he had fallen ill.

However, Sun Sport can reveal that it was a DELIBERATE choice by Maresca to skip the conference, and there was NO health issue at play.
Maresca wanted to reflect on his future at the club as he considers ending his tenure at Stamford Bridge, although he has NOT made a definitive choice and is evaluating all his options.
Sun Sport understands that Maresca holds the club and its supporters in high regard.
He acknowledges the high expectations from the Blues fans, considering the successes of the last two decades.
Maresca, 45, believes that these demands are beneficial and drive both him and the club to improve.
The former Leicester manager insists that the expectations and conditions imposed on him from above are such that any top manager would find them challenging to accept.
He hoped that winning TWO trophies last season – the Conference League and the FIFA Club World Cup – along with qualifying for the Champions League, would provide a foundation for success this season.
However, the relationship between the Italian manager and his superiors has deteriorated over recent months.

It appears that Maresca is on the verge of following the same path as his FOUR short-lived predecessors – Thomas Tuchel, Frank Lampard, Graham Potter, and Mauricio Pochettino – since the Todd Boehly-led Clearlake consortium acquired Roman Abramovich’s stake in 2022.
His unexpected declaration that he experienced “the worst 48 hours” of his career before last month’s victory over Everton was a sentiment that had been building within Maresca for weeks.
Maresca reached a point where he felt he could no longer contain his frustrations and wanted to take a public stand.
He feels he is not being allowed to manage the team in the way he believes is necessary.
While Maresca, who has granted his players two days off, currently plans to lead the team for Sunday’s match against Manchester City, the situation remains increasingly uncertain.
