Galatasaray striker, Victor Osimhen, has claimed he did not celebrate his goal against Juventus in the Champions League, because of his respect for former coach, Luciano Spalletti.
Juventus had cancelled the Turkish club’s 5-2 lead from the first leg, winning 3-0 in Turin.
With the tie level 5-5 on aggregate, Osimhen scored to make it 3-1 on the night.
The second leg eventually ended 3-2, as Alper Yilmaz added another goal late on.
“I didn’t feel the need to celebrate,” Osimhen told Prime Video Italia.
“I felt it was important to show respect for someone (Spalletti) who means a lot to me and has played an important role in my career.”
