Nicolas Jackson is eligible to play for Bayern Munich against his parent club, Chelsea, when both sides face off in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

This is due to UEFA’s competition integrity rules.

Jackson left Stamford Bridge to sign for the Bundesliga champions on a one-season loan deal this summer.

Unlike the Premier League, where loanees are barred from playing against their parent clubs, UEFA‘s ‘Statement on Integrity of Competitions’ forbids clauses that prevent such appearances.

That means Bayern boss Vincent Kompany has the green light to pick Jackson if he chooses.

Jackson’s loan move to the Allianz Arena, also includes a £70m option to buy.
