At least two Premier League teams booked their spots in the Carabao Cup fourth round on Tuesday night.

Crystal Palace overcame a stubborn Millwall side to qualify.

The Eagles took the lead through Chris Richards, but Ryan Leonard headed in a stoppage time equalizer.

With the game ending 1-1, a penalty shoot-out had to determine the winner of the tie.

Palace goalkeeper Walter Benitez proved to be the hero of the night, as his two fantastic saves sent them through.

Brentford had to eliminate another Premier League rival Aston Villa to progress.

The Bees qualified for the fourth round, thanks to a 4-2 penalty shoot-out win, following a 1-1 draw after 90 minutes.

Grimsby claimed a 1-0 victory over Sheffield Wednesday to also move to the next round.

Most of the other third-round ties will take place on Tuesday, September 23 and Wednesday, September 24.
