Viewers have already witnessed intense moments on-screen—including a singer being ‘murdered’ in plain sight by her close friend.

The comedian, 49, is one of the show’s saboteurs, collaborating with chat show host and singer, who have had to constantly deceive the other contestants.

The credits for the popular reality show include chartered psychologist Victoria Plant and psychotherapist and counselor Tanya Taylor-Wright, who provide support to the celebrities.

A spokesperson stated: “Some may perceive it as just a television show, but living the game 24/7 can take a toll on participants.

“It was communicated clearly to the celebrities that assistance was available if they were struggling with the psychological challenges.

“There is a responsibility for care in television today; therefore, medical professionals are present on set, and this was especially crucial for The Traitors due to the show's nature.”

This follows Traitor Jonathan, 64, expressing his discomfort with the show's deceitful process.

He remarked on his podcast: “You’re constantly on the defense.”

Expert Dr. Paul Davies previously indicated that aftercare was essential for the show, as its premise tends to create anxiety, paranoia, and mistrust among contestants.

A spokesperson added: “Since the very first season in 2022, we have maintained a dedicated welfare team and psychological support available at all times, monitoring and regularly communicating with all players privately.”
