RETURN to Paradise star Lloyd Griffith has revealed he has lost the hearing in his right ear and now wears a hearing aid.
The comedian and actor, 43, shared a series of photographs showing his new device as he opened up about his health struggles with fans.

Lloyd, who plays Detective Senior Constable Colin Cartwright in the hit BBC crime drama, admitted he was still adjusting to the change.
Taking to Instagram, he wrote: “Thank you for all your kind words about me losing my hearing in my right ear.”
He continued: “Will do a long video soon explaining everything (the hearing loss, the diagnosis, the treatment, the constant tinnitus).”
The star then revealed he had started wearing a hearing aid, adding: “But as a result of losing my hearing, I now wear a hearing aid on my right ear. Still getting used to it but we’re fast becoming friends.”

Lloyd also encouraged anyone experiencing similar problems to seek support, writing: “And again, for more information about sudden hearing loss and support for anyone who is deaf, has hearing loss or tinnitus, head to @rnid_uk”
The actor has previously explained that he experienced sudden sensorineural hearing loss in October 2025, with his hearing disappearing within hours while attending a wedding.
Lloyd is best known to BBC viewers for playing Colin Cartwright, a British-born police officer working alongside Detective Sergeant Mackenzie Clarke, played by Anna Samson, in the Australian-set Death in Paradise spin-off.
The popular series follows Mackenzie and her colleagues as they investigate mysterious deaths in the fictional coastal town of Dolphin Cove.
And Lloyd is set to return to screens next month when the show’s third series launches on BBC One and iPlayer on November 6, with his character once again helping Mackenzie crack a string of baffling murder cases.
Away from Return to Paradise, Lloyd has also appeared in Ted Lasso, It’s A Sin and Nolly, as well as presenting Sky Sports favourite Soccer AM.
