Lord Sugar later raised the clash in the boardroom which sparked another heated exchange between the two, with Kay later telling the tycoon exactly how she felt.

She said: “I’m disappointed. I haven’t enjoyed the process at all. There we are, perception is reality.”

But tension quickly rose with Kay leaving Max, according to one insider, feeling “picked on and demeaned.”

By the end of day one, Max, who hosted The Useless Hotline podcast with best pal and 2025 Strictly finalist , was in tears.

But another insider gave a differing view of events saying: “Kay initially tried to help Max on the task as he couldn’t speak French and found the whole filming process rather overwhelming. The show is a competition after all and Kay went into it to do the best she could for her chosen charity.

“As far as she’s concerned it was all part of the game and there are certainly no hard feelings.”

The finished series is expected to air early next year with a line-up of a dozen stars which also include actor , singer and Diversity star Jordan Banjo.

Representatives for Kay, Max and the show were approached but declined to comment.
