Arsenal legend, Paul Merson, has urged manager, Mikel Arteta to start goalkeeper, Kepa Arrizabalaga ahead of David Raya in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley Stadium on Sunday.

Merson argued that the 31-year-old is the goalkeeper who took the Gunners to the Carabao Cup final and not Raya.

According to him, it is only fair for Kepa to continue in the goal post for the Premier League leaders.

“Arsenal need to make a big decision whether to go with Kepa Arrizabalaga or David Raya in goal,” Merson told Sportskeeda.

“Kepa has been first-choice in the Carabao Cup, and they should stick with him. It is only fair because he played well and took them to this stage.

“He has not let the team down in this competition and deserves to start.”
