A MAN has died and four children have been rushed to hospital after a car crashed into a Chinese takeaway.

Cops have launched an investigation after the horror smash in Tipton, West Midlands, last night.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “Crews arrived to find a car which had been involved in a collision with a building.

“The driver, a man, was in a critical condition.

“He received advanced life support on scene but was sadly confirmed deceased by ambulance staff a short time later.

“A woman passenger sustained serious injuries and ambulance crews administered trauma care before she was conveyed to Midland Metropolitan University Hospital.

“Two boys from the car sustained minor injuries and were conveyed in the same ambulance to hospital.

“Two girls from the car suffered potentially serious injuries and received trauma care from the team of medics before both were taken on blue lights and sirens to Birmingham Children’s Hospital for further care.

“A man, believed to be a passing cyclist, sustained minor injuries and was discharged on scene and left in the care of relatives.”
