ANDY Burnham has doubled down on trying to reach Net Zero by 2050.

The PM rejected demands to pull back on the eco dash to try to keep down .

He wrote in the Guardian: “The presents us with an enormous challenge and possibility.

“In the coming years, we need to change the way we travel, build and produce energy.

“I have long seen the green transition as the best chance we will ever have to reindustrialise Britain.”

confirmed that Labour would not grant new North Sea and licences.

But she is expected to approve the Jackdaw and Rosebank gas and oil fields.

Those fields already had licences but need her final sign-off.

She also dismissed rumours that a decision would not come before the Holborn and St Pancras by-election where the Greens are a threat.

But Reform’s said: “Burnham babbles on with Labour’s Net Stupid Zero zealotry whilst our bills soar.”
