It recently emerged the late US rocker Jimi Hendrix was a big fan of Coronation Street , after visiting the UK in 1966.




But he is far from the only US star to have had a thing for a British TV show.

US actress Anne Hathaway, 42, fell for Emmerdale when she tuned in to polish her Yorkshire accent for the film One Day – and admitted: “It was quite exotic for me”.
Actor Jon Hamm, 54, has spilled: “I used to watch The Goodies, Benny Hill . . . ”
The late Queen Elizabeth II loved Dr Who so much she is said to have asked the BBC to send her copies of the show.
Queen Camilla, 78, likes Strictly Come Dancing and once told Sun royal snapper Arthur Edwards when they boogied: “We should go on Strictly . . . but don’t tell the King .”
Model Chrissy Teigen , 39, laid it all bare: “I love Naked Attraction ”.
