A MONSTROUS boyfriend has confessed to forcing his girlfriend to watch him slaughter her pet rabbit before trying to make her eat it.
Belahouel A admitted to making his horrified partner hold the animal by its legs before he killed it in front of her.
He told his girlfriend during the ordeal: “This is how you learn, this is your lesson.”
Belahouel also smeared blood from the animal on her face before cooking it.
A court in detailed a system of abuse by the defendant as he was handed a four and a half year prison sentence following a plea bargain.
Belahouel admitted to the rabbit torture, saying he had become enraged after his partner accidentally spat on him as she blew on hair clippers at the home they shared in Monserrat, the court heard.
His horrific actions were as a “punishment”.
Before butchering the bunny, Belahouel tied up the woman, brandished a knife and threatened to throw her onto the chimney.
On a separate occasion, he reportedly punched his girlfriend in the nose for “talking too much”.
Prosecutors fought for a 12-year sentence initially.
It was significantly reduced due to the defendant’s paranoid schizophrenia.
He was also given a 24-year restraining order preventing him from going within 1,000 meters of his victim and ordered to pay her £2,900 (€3,420) in compensation.
It comes as in June 2021, Liverpool Crown Court heard how Billy Rutter killed his son’s rabbit and threw the severed head at his ex-girlfriend before trying to cook the beloved pet.
He crept in to the woman’s Birkenhead home as she slept upstairs with their two young children.
The terrified mum tried to get help from neighbours and when she returned found he was trying to cook the body of their family pet because he “didn’t want to waste it.”
Rutter, then 33, admitted causing suffering to a protected animal, assault and breaching an order and was jailed for 15 months.
In another shocking instance in 2023, Holly Bramley was killed and dismembered by her evil husband, , after he drowned her puppy in the bath.
When Metson , Holly reported him to the police.
He then stabbed Holly, 26, four times at their high-rise flat.
Metson admitted her murder and was sentenced to 19 years in jail.
