A 14-YEAR-OLD boy has been shot dead in broad daylight – with three teens arrested for murder.

The victim was killed yesterday in Woolwich, south-east London.

Officers were called to reports of a shooting in Lord Warwick Street at around 3.40pm on Thursday.

Despite the efforts of paramedics, the boy was pronounced dead at the scene.

His next of kin has been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.

Two boys, aged 14 and 16, and an 18-year-old man have been arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with the incident.

They remain in custody.

Detective Chief Inspector Lucie Card, whose team is leading the investigation, said: “Our thoughts remain with the boy’s family and loved ones.

“We are aware of the concern that this incident will cause the local community.

“We have already made three arrests and our investigation continues at pace.

“An increased police presence remains in the area.

“I would appeal for anyone who was in the area at the time, who has CCTV or dash cam footage of the incident or has information that could help my officers to come forward.”
