DI Chris Lithgow from the Major Investigation Team stated: “I would like to express my gratitude to the public for their patience, understanding, and support during this investigation.
“We have been collaborating with other agencies and have managed to reduce the cordon, allowing a significant number of displaced residents to return home.
“The remaining evacuated individuals are still displaced due to structural concerns. Our thoughts are with the family of the person whose body has been recovered from the property.
“We urge the public once again not to speculate about this incident or the identities of those involved, as it may compromise an active investigation.”
