The 2025 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) has announced its nominees!
On August 5 local time, MTV officially revealed the nominations for this year’s award ceremony, which included nods for several K-pop artists.
BLACKPINK ’s Rosé racked up an impressive total of eight nominations this year, including Video of the Year and Song of the Year. Seven of those nods were for her hit collaboration with Bruno Mars, “APT.”, which is in the running for Video of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Pop, Best Collaboration, Best Direction, Best Art Direction, and Best Visual Effects. Rosé’s song “toxic till the end” also scored a nomination for Best K-Pop.
Notably, all four members of BLACKPINK were nominated for Best K-Pop this year. The 2025 nominees are aespa ’s “Whiplash,” Jennie ’s “like JENNIE,” BTS’s Jimin’s “Who,” Jisoo ’s “Earthquake,” Lisa ’s “BORN AGAIN” (featuring Doja Cat and Raye), Stray Kids ’ “Chk Chk Boom,” and Rosé’s “toxic till the end.”
Meanwhile, KATSEYE earned a nomination for Push Performance of the Year (for their song “Touch”).
The 2025 MTV Video Music Awards will air live on September 7 at 8 p.m. ET. In the meantime, you can vote for the awards on MTV’s website here ! (Voting will be open until September 6 at 6 p.m. local time.)
