“The people were amazing. They were the best bunch ever.
“Yes, we were hungry and we were dirty but it was wonderful.
“We were all crying [when I had to leave], which really flattered me, although I didn’t want them to be upset.”

She said: “When they put us into the main camp, it was like moving into a five-star hotel! Savannah Scrub was horrific.
“We couldn’t work out how to empty the loo, we couldn’t work out anything, we had no idea how to cook.
“This time completely knocked 2020 out of the park. I’m so glad I said yes, because I did have to think about it. I’ve been covered in bugs before, so did I really want to do it again?
“Also, last time I’d just had a new hip, so there were a lot of challenges I wasn’t allowed to do. I hated that.
“We all had deep and personal conversations after a few days.
“When you’ve spent 24 hours a day together, you get to know each other really deeply.
“I can’t remember seeing a group of people get on as exceptionally well as we did.”
Yesterday updated fans that surgery to remove the cancer from a lymph node last week had been a success.
In an online video, she said: “I’ve been resting constantly.
“Hopefully, I’ll keep feeling well and get better. But I’m good – I’m good.”
