Now, they’ve been paired together once more!

Benfica drew their following game 0-0 at struggling Tondela before back-to-back 2-1 wins over teams much lower in the league, means they’re in touch with the top two in the league but not showing particularly great form.

Madrid have beaten Rayo Vallecano, Valencia and Real Sociedad in their three games since and must surely be plotting revenge for that previous defeat.
