JASON Manford has announced that his BBC quiz show, The Answer Run, is set to return for a third series.
Following two successful seasons, the 44-year-old comedian mentioned that he and the production team are already in discussions for a third season.

In an exclusive interview with The Sun, he said: “We’ve just completed the second series, and we’re talking about a third.
“The ratings are strong, so we just need to keep going.”
The beloved show features three pairs of contestants competing against each other in a fast-paced general knowledge quiz.
Participants face two possible answers, creating a 50/50 chance for each question.
However, the pressure is always high, with contestants just one answer away from either securing their winnings or losing everything.
The teams will be eliminated one by one until only one pair remains to face The Final Run, offering them the opportunity to take home all the money they've accumulated.
While Jason is busy with his quiz show and tour, he is also considering a role in an ITV soap after his departure from Waterloo Road.
The actor portrayed headmaster Steven Savage on the BBC school drama but was written out after being arrested for concealing the murder of student Boz Osbourne, in which his own son, Billy, was involved.
At the Inside Soap Awards 2025, Jason remarked: “I didn’t have a choice [about staying] because my character pushed a deceased child into a canal. Given the storyline, it would really stretch the limits of reality for me to still be there. Ofsted doesn’t take kindly to that.
“It was always a one-season commitment.
“The reason I agreed to it was that I wasn’t tied down; it wasn’t a 10-year, three-year deal... with my other commitments, I don’t think I could manage something like that anyway.
“So it was actually a wonderful opportunity.
“I joined at the perfect time; I had just finished The Wizard of Oz at the Palladium and wasn’t starting my tour for another eight months.
“I have friends like Kym Marsh and Adam Thomas in the cast, so it was an easy job. It was just 20 minutes from my house in Manchester. The kids love it.”
Jason explained how he landed the role on the show, stating: “To be honest, it never crossed my mind. The job offer came in, and the storyline was fantastic.
“Cameron, the producer, called me and said, ‘We have this part that we think you’d be perfect for. You’re from Manchester, and we believe you’d be a great fit. The show is synonymous with Manchester, and you are too, so why don’t we bring the two together?’ It was really that simple.”
Now, he is eager for a role in a different Manchester soap following previous discussions with ITV executives.
Jason mentioned: “I haven’t done Coronation Street yet; I’ve had a few conversations, yes!
“It’s just about timing, but of course, it’s my gran’s favorite show and my mum’s favorite show.
“When the time is right, and if it wouldn’t upset anyone, you wouldn’t want to come in and disrupt something that’s so amazing.
“But again, it would be a privilege.”
If Jason makes it onto the cobbles, he’s considering taking over the current landlord, Carla Connor, at the Rovers Return.
“You’d want to stir things up; you’d want to be around the Rovers, aiming to be the landlord. I’d jump right in there, of course,” he said.
“Or I could play a villain; I actually enjoyed that role in Waterloo Road because people expect me to be cheerful and family-oriented, but it’s fun to be the baddie and try to get away with things.”
