"Joel Dommett's Hilarious Struggle to Fill Time After Emmerdale's Big NTAs Win!"

THIS was the very awkward moment NTAs host Joel Dommett was left scrambling and forced to fill time after Emmerdale’s big win.

The soap cast flocked to the stage to receive their award for Best Serial Drama.

Katie Hill, who plays Sarah Sugden in the soap, then began her speech.

Beaming, she said: “Thank you so so much to everyone who voted and thank you to all of our viewers who continue to watch and support the show.

“We wouldn’t have one if it weren’t for you guys. I wanna give a massive shout out to the amazing team at , the crew, the production team, the writers, the cast and of course our wonderful producers, Ian, Sophie and Maura.

“There’s so many people that work incredibly hard to make Emmerdale what it is and this award really is for all of these people.”

“We’re so proud to take this back to Yorkshire. And thank you so much,” shouted Katie.

The crowd erupted into an applause and Joel made his way into the centre of the group as it became clear there was still minutes left to kill.

“Well done. Well done guys, how ya feeling? Final award of the night,” stumbled Joel.

He continued: “How you feeling? You feeling ok sir?”

, who previously played Noah Dingle, replied: “I’m feeling great, of course of course.”

Joel questioned: “Are you going to party all the way to Yorkshire?”

“Absolutely,” confessed another cast member as Joel swiftly moved across the stage awkwardly asking more of the soaps stars “if they were ok”.

said: “I’m good, are you?”

Joel then finally admitted: “I’m good, I’m clearly filling [time]”

then rallied the cast and got them to cheer “come on Emmerdale,” before the show came to a close.

One fan wrote on X: “Katie Hill’s speech obviously was way too short than they had planned for. handled that like a pro.”

This was Joel’s sixth time hosting the prestigious award show.
