BBC Radio 1 aired a racial slur five hours apart on the same day during news broadcasts, The Sun can reveal today.
A backing track from US rapper including the N-word was used in a package that played on Newsbeat at 12:45pm and 5:45pm.

An insider says training is now under way for all staff to avoid further incidents following the April 1 blunder.

A source said: “A Childish Gambino track with the N-word in the lyrics was used during a package played in two bulletins. It was an appalling oversight in the edit suite.
“They have had to progress with all-staff training to prevent a repeat — but of course that’s thrown a spotlight on the incident.
“After the fallout from the , this is the absolute worst case scenario for the Beeb.”
It is not known what track was used.
The rapper, real name Donald Glover, 42, has a number containing the slur.
Last night, the apologised and said: “We should not have included this clip in this news report.”
At the , involuntarily shouted the N-word while actors Michael B. Jordan and Delroy Lindo were presenting an award.
