Kate Garraway pulled off air and replaced after struggling through Good Morning Britain news report

KATE Garraway was forced to be taken off air on Good Morning Britain after struggling during a news report this morning.

The presenter, 59, appeared in the first ten minutes of Monday’s instalment as she wore a light peach suit with a brown top underneath.

Despite looking chic, the same couldn’t be said for Kate’s voice as she appeared hoarse and appeared to struggle with getting her words out.

She presented a news report about meeting tech bosses this week about AI, but her voice was a lot lower than usual as well as being croaky.

However, an hour into the episode, main presenters and Ed Balls revealed Kate had to leave earlier than anticipated.

Susanna, 55, told viewers: “As you may have noticed earlier this morning, had a very hoarse voice.

“She was belting it out at the last week and her voice has not fully recovered.

“So we have put her on vocal rest and Faye Barker has valiantly come to the rescue and is here with the rest of this morning’s news.”

Replacement Faye joked: “It’s amazing what you can find in a cupboard when needed.”

At the beginning of the instalment, one concerned fan wrote on X: “Someone send Kate home!

“She’s clearly not well, look after her please ITV! Where’s the rest of the clan!!”

Another commented: “Isn’t Kate going to lose her voice completely, being made to talk.”

While a third added: “GMB employs an entire plethora of staff and yet they’ve still got on here struggling for her life reading an autocue with a voice like that.

“Why? It’s not heroic, it’s annoying.”

The were nominated in the Daytime category at the NTAs last week but lost out to This Morning.

However, Celebrity Traitors took home the award for Reality Competition, as Kate took to the stage with her co-stars to accept the trophy.

She also took part in a musical performance with , and as they paid tribute to Alan Carr, who received the Special Recognition Award.
