BRITAIN will go bankrupt under Andy Burnham’s leadership because he refuses to say no to colleagues asking for more funds, Tory leader Kemi Badenoch claimed yesterday.
She insisted that his first statement to the Commons as PM on Tuesday made his problem clear — despite turmoil on the over his grip on public finances.

Probed on whether he will bankrupt the country, she said: “If you listen to his statement, I think the answer is ‘probably’, because he had so many requests for government spending, so many requests for taxpayers’ money.
“He didn’t say no to anything.
“If someone doesn’t know how to say no, then they will run out of money.
“The problem with socialism is they always run out of other people’s money, not their own.”
Meanwhile, senior Labour MP Dame said she expected taxes to rise at next month’s Budget.
She pointed to “huge strains” on the economy as Chancellor grapples with , the Iran War and an estimated £14billion blow to finances owing to increases in the Government’s borrowing costs.
