ARIANA GRANDE is taking control of her career by launching a record label, BabyDoll Music, to release her new album Petal on July 31.

It means she will own the original master recordings to the tracks, which has become key in many artists’ careers.

was with Republic Records in the US and Island Records in the UK, but both deals are thought to have ended after her 2024 album Eternal Sunshine.

Now she has licensed the rights to Petal back to those labels, which essentially means they will do the leg work while she retains ownership.

An insider said: “Ariana has seen what happened with artists like being taken advantage of with their masters, and has taken control.

“This new set-up means she can earn a lot more if it’s a success, and can do things exactly how she wants to.”

The new label’s name is believed to be a reference to the 1997 song Babydoll by Ariana’s idol .

Petal is out in the middle of Ariana’s Eternal Sunshine tour, which on June 6. There’s no slowing her down.

Socials shunned by Swift

Bizarre’s Howell caught up with the singer in Notting Hill, London, on Tuesday at a playback for the album, which is out on May 8.

Josh discussed teaming up with Jack Groban on a cover of Moon River.

Jack played trumpet at uni in the Sixties but put it down to focus on work.

It came out again after Josh asked him to do a solo for the track.

He ended up recording it in Louis Armstrong’s favourite studio, Sunset Sound in LA, and used the jazz great’s mic and stool.

Josh said: “It’s my favourite. Here is myself and Jack Smoky Lips Groban.”

THE idea of facing Lord Sugar in the Celebrity Apprentice boardroom is nerve-racking, so it’s little wonder needed a hand to hold.

She was spotted keeping close to fellow candidate, actress Maddie Grace Jepson, as they headed out of a London hotel yesterday morning to take on another task.
