Many All Progressives Congress (APC) members in Gada Local Government Area of Sokoto State have left the party to join the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

The new members were officially welcomed on Sunday by Senator Abubakar Gada, a key leader in the ADC coalition.

He said their decision showed that many Nigerians are losing confidence in the APC government.

According to Gada, people in Sokoto East and across the country are struggling with insecurity and economic hardship, that have badly affected farming, jobs, and food supply.

“Our people are battling serious security threats that have destroyed farming, our main source of income. This has caused poverty, unemployment, and hunger in our communities,” he said.

He added that the growing number of people joining the ADC shows that citizens want change and are ready to support a party that can tackle Nigeria’s problems.

“Many Nigerians are coming to ADC because they believe in our mission to rescue the country. The APC government’s poor performance has forced people to look for hope elsewhere, and ADC is providing that option,” Gada said.
