The candidate representing the African Action Congress (AAC) in the recently concluded Anambra State governorship election, Chioma Ifemeludike, has declared herself a winner despite losing the election to Governor Chukwuma Soludo.

According to the results published by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), she secured 292 votes in the election.

INEC announced that the incumbent governor, Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), won the election with 422,664 votes.

As reported by DAILY POST, the candidate from the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nicholas Ukachukwu, finished in second place with 99,445 votes.

However, in a post shared on her X handle on Sunday, Ifemeludike expressed that her modest vote count represented a symbolic victory based on principles rather than political machinery.

“Integrity stands firm and higher than political deception. I’m a winner!” she proclaimed.

Ifemeludike garnered significant online attention during her campaign due to her unconventional photos and videos.

She expressed satisfaction with her performance and emphasized that her campaign was conducted without any malpractice.
