Members of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and supporters of Governor Chukwuma Soludo have encouraged him to intensify efforts in developing all regions of the state. They believe this will validate the trust placed in him by the people of Anambra following his re-election in the recent gubernatorial election.
The supporters from the Nteje community in Oyi Local Government Area convened at the residence of their traditional ruler-elect, Chief Chris Nnebo, to commemorate Soludo’s victory, which they deemed well-deserved.
The Igwe-elect, Nnebo, expressed to journalists at the event, “The governor has performed admirably, and that is why the entire Anambra voted for him two weeks ago.”
“Our only request to him is to sustain the momentum of his initiatives and even enhance them to honor the confidence that the people of Anambra have in him, which led to his re-election. We also urge him to include everyone in his success.”
Earlier, while addressing the supporters, he remarked: “We are gathered here to celebrate the governor’s victory in last Saturday’s election. We are not only his supporters but also members of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).”
“I have called you here not just to celebrate, but to express gratitude for your hard work in ensuring that the entire Nteje, which comprises five wards and 63 polling units, voted for APGA.”
An aide to the governor, Chief Chidiebele Obika, who serves as the Senior Special Assistant to Soludo on Media and is a resident of Nteje, praised him for his numerous projects in the community. He also highlighted several road projects that he urged the governor to consider.
He stated: “We have five political wards in Nteje community, and 63 polling units. It may interest you to know that the people of Nteje voted for Soludo in all five wards and all 63 polling units. Not a single one was won by any other party.”
“Our brother from the neighboring Umueri community was also in the race, and he campaigned vigorously, but the people of Nteje chose to vote for APGA, which is the party of Mr. Governor. In appreciation of their support, we decided to gather our people at the home of our leader, Chief Chris Nnebo, who is the leader of our party in this community and has also been elected as Igwe, to express our gratitude.”
