Some voters in Obosi, Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State, have voiced their dissatisfaction, describing it as “poor consideration” after allegedly receiving small sums of money to cast their votes.

A voter who spoke off-camera to the Anambra Broadcasting Corporation, ABS, expressed her frustration regarding the situation.

She mentioned that as of 9:00 am, no one was present at the Central School in Obosi, the designated voting location.

According to her, an announcement was made later encouraging residents to come out and participate in the voting process.

She noted that many individuals responded and came out to fulfill their civic duty, only to be given N1,000 afterward.

She described this amount as “too small,” considering the effort and stress they experienced to take part in the election.
