The Anambra State governorship election has begun in several polling units.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) provided an update from various polling units in the Njikoka Local Government Area of the state.

The announcement states, “Voting has begun at RA 10: Enugwu Ukwu II, PU 003 & PU 004, Njikoka LGA.”

The commission had previously assured eligible voters participating in the election that their votes would be counted.

“Make your voice heard. Go out and vote peacefully. Every vote matters,” the electoral body emphasized.

It also cautioned against vote selling, declaring that “your vote is not for sale.”
