The previous Kop was demolished in January 2023 and replaced with a temporary stand as the club progressed up the football pyramid.
The temporary seats were removed towards the end of last season to allow machinery access for the installation of a new pitch.
The Red Dragons have since finalized a land acquisition from Wrexham University to create space for the new Kop.
However, the club will face limitations on the number of seats in the new stand.
This is due to national planning policies that will restrict Wrexham to utilizing 5,500 seats in the Kop.
Nevertheless, this number could increase to 7,500 if Wrexham County Borough approves a planning application to further expand the seating capacity.
Such an increase would raise the capacity of the Racecourse Ground to over 18,000.
And the club has no plans to stop there, with their Hollywood owners pursuing ambitious projects to further enhance the stadium.
It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia star McElhenney stated: “We currently have a plan in place that would eventually improve all four stands.
“So in the end, we believe we could accommodate between 45,000 and 55,000 spectators.”
