President Bola Tinubu may prioritize ambassadorial appointments to G20 nations.

One of the spokespersons to the Presidency, Dr. Daniel Bwala, gave the hint on Monday via a post on X.

Bwala said that the President had acknowledged that the delay in releasing the ambassadorial list was due to funding challenges affecting Nigerian foreign missions.

He noted that despite public concerns, the President could strategically give priority to G20 countries because of their significant economic partnerships with Nigeria.

Bwala added that the matter would be resolved soon to ensure effective representation abroad.

In the post titled ‘Ambassadorial list’, Bwala said, “Mr. President has acknowledged the delays in the ambassadorial list, primarily due to funding constraints affecting our foreign embassies, an issue I am diligently addressing.

“Despite the surrounding clamor, the President can strategically prioritize appointments to G20 nations, recognizing their critical economic partnerships with us. The ambassadorial list will be resolved promptly, ensuring effective representation.”
