SINGER Akon has opened up on his “four wives” as he revealed they are banned from having other partners.
While hasn’t confirmed the number of wives he has himself, back in 2023 one of his alleged partners confessed it in an interview with US blogger Rie Wit the Tea.

Akon has now sat down with Paul C. Brunson on the We Need To Talk podcast to discuss polyamorous life.
Paul asked the star: “Do your wives, can they have multiple partners?”
Akon simply replied, “No” before Paul quizzed him further on why only he could have multiple partners.
He didn’t elaborate, but said: “Only me.”
Opening up on the benefits of, Akon said: “When the family is united in that way, the benefit is more for the woman than for the man.
“Cause the man actually has to take care of them all. He has to treat them all equally.”

“They can alternate those roles [in the house] because there’s four of them or five of them or three of them or two of them [wives]. They can alternate those roles whether it’s cooking, whether it’s cleaning, whether it’s taking care of the kids. One may wanna take a vacation,” he continued.

He revealed that all his wives are “equal” because otherwise “it doesn’t work.”
Paul then asked: “Who is your emergency contact?”
Akon replied: “It’s my first wife no matter what… Cause that one is the reason you even got one, two or three.”
The chart-topper has been linked to multiple women including Tomeka Thiam, Tricia Ana, Rosina Bruck and Amirah-Iman – although most haven’t been officially confirmed.

In September last year, Akon’s sprawling family dynamic was rocked when his longtime wife Tomeka Thiam filed for divorce after nearly three decades of marriage.
She cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split and listed their date of separation as “TBD,” according to court documents obtained by People.
Akon and Tomeka married in 1996, years before he skyrocketed to fame.
