Tochukwu Nnadi has shared his thoughts regarding his first call-up to the Super Eagles, as reported by DAILY POST.

The midfielder from Zulte Waregem was included in Nigeria’s squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations last week.

Nnadi is not unfamiliar with national team football, having previously represented Nigeria at the U-20 level. He was part of the Flying Eagles squad that participated in the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup.

The 22-year-old acknowledged that the invitation to join the Super Eagles caught him off guard.

“I was young and always dreamed of being part of the national team one day. I played in the U-20, and now I’m in the Super Eagles. Although I didn't expect it to happen so soon, I’m here now and I’m thrilled,” he shared with the Super Eagles media.

Nnadi also expressed his readiness to assist the Super Eagles in their quest to secure the title in Morocco.

“I understand that being part of the national team comes with significant pressure. I hail from a country with a large population, so representing them is a big responsibility. However, I’m here to demonstrate my skills, fight for the team, and I hope we win the AFCON,” Nnadi added.
