Bashir El-Rufai, son of erstwhile governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, has suggested that African Democratic Congress, ADC, provides a platform for a united Nigeria.
Bashir, in a post on X on Thursday, claimed that the development was happening for the first time in his life.
“I’m sensing a united Nigeria under the flag of the ADC. For the first time in my life as a Nigerian,”; he said.
The statement comes after the opposition coalition on Wednesday formally adopted ADC as its official political platform for the 2027 elections in order to wrest power from the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, in 2027.
DAILY POST reported that ex-Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Mr Peter Obi of the Labour Party counterpart, former governor of Kaduna State, Malam Nasir El-Rufai and a former Rivers State governor, Rotimi Amaechi, were present at the event.
