The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has denied issuing a statement attributed to the party on the situation in Palestine.
ADC National Chairman, Bolaji Abdullahi, clarified the matter in a post on his official X handle on Friday.
“The attention of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has been drawn to a story in circulation which may be construed as the party’s position on the issue of Palestine,” Abdullahi wrote.
He stressed that the statement being circulated does not represent the views of the party.
“We would like to clarify that this statement does not reflect the views of the ADC on the general situation in Palestine or on the Federal Government of Nigeria’s position on the matter as expressed at the ongoing #UNGA80 in New York, USA,” he added.
