At least 774 members of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) have transitioned to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Rimin Gado Local Government Area of Kano State.

Welcoming the new members into the APC on Friday, the Managing Director of the Hadejia-Jam’are River Basin Development Authority, Rabiu Bichi, expressed that they were fortunate to have made such a courageous choice.

Bichi asserted that the APC is the sole party capable of guiding Nigeria towards significant progress.

He noted that numerous projects initiated by President Bola Tinubu in the northern region serve as proof of the commitment of the APC-led administration.

The Managing Director further elaborated that over 18 major projects valued at billions of naira have been successfully completed in Kano State alone.

He expressed concern that some state governments across the country have misallocated substantial funds intended for development to other areas.

“The Renewed Hope Agenda is already yielding positive results, including economic recovery and enhanced food security through various agricultural programs.

“I assure you today that you will be fully incorporated and treated as long-standing members of the APC.”

The leader of the defectors, Mohammad Karofin-Yashi, stated that they chose to join the party due to the commendable development initiatives of the APC administration.

He expressed confidence that the APC will elevate Kano and the nation to greater heights, pledging to garner support from additional NNPP members who will soon join the All Progressives Congress.
