Abia State Governor Alex Otti has stated that the 2027 election will be easier for him compared to previous campaigns.

He asserted that he is not apprehensive about the 2027 polls, as the accomplishments of his administration since assuming office in Abia State will facilitate a smoother journey.

Otti, speaking at the 2025 Aro Day event in Arochukwu LGA, emphasized that he will not be making empty promises to the people, but will instead build upon the tangible progress they can already see.

He voiced his concern that many individuals are unnecessarily stressing themselves over the upcoming 2027 elections, despite the fact that the election year is still quite distant.

“2027 is still a long way off, yet many people have already started to worry excessively about it,” he remarked.

“We are not anxious about 2027 because we have a mandate to fulfill for our people over the next four years. We’ve completed 30 months, so there is still much more to achieve,” Otti stated.

In further comments, the Abia governor said: “Just as it was in 2023, I assure you that 2027 will be even more seamless. Why am I so confident? I am confident because, in 2023, we were making promises, but now we have concrete achievements to highlight.”
