The ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, has boasted that it has a very low defection rate compared to the number of people joining the party every day.

The National Chairman of the party, Prof Nentawe Yilwatda, stated this on Wednesday, when he featured on ‘Sunrise Daily’, a programme on Channels Television.

He said they are equally engaging with those who have left the party with the view of bringing them, stressing that the APC is still their home.

“We have minimal defection. Very minimal compared to people who are trooping in everyday.

“If you look at the members of the National Assembly, State Assemblies and governors who are trooping back in the APC from other political parties, it tells you that APC is still the most preferred political party and we are still even receiving more people.

“This shows the kind of popularity and acceptance the APC has. I cannot say that one or two persons from APC may want to move to the other side,” he said.
