Vice presidential candidate of the New Nigerian Peoples Party, NNPP, Archbishop Isaac Idahosa has said that the national leader of the party, Rabiu Kwankwaso, was the man who circumcised him politically.
Idahosa, who was a running mate to Kwankwaso during the 2023 presidential election, also claimed that there are only two political parties in the country- the NNPP and the others.
The religious leader spoke at the National Executive Committee meeting of the party held in Abuja on Thursday, insisting that Kwankwaso will be Nigerian President come 2027.
“First and foremost, it’s important I congratulate our national leader, our navigator, our pathfinder, the man that circumcised me politically, His Excellency, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso,” he said.
Idahosa further stated that the victory of the NNPP, which won one seat in the House of Representatives in the just concluded by-elections, is an affirmation of the strength and great strides of the party in Kano.
“It is gratifying to note that our party, NNPP, has continued to show reliance and focus under the able leadership of my boss, Kwankwaso,” he added.
“Let me make it clear here that Nigerians are looking up to our leader for directions and leadership.
“The only thing that made our party credible today is the credibility and integrity, sagacity, capacity, ability of my boss, the Madugu of Nigerian politics.
“He is the only credible alternative before us that is capable of restoring hope, equity and justice to the Nigerian people and the Nigerian masses are awaiting your rising to the throne very soon.
“Leadership is about the people and not of personal interest.
“It is important to note that we have only two parties in Nigeria, NNPP and others.”
