WAYNE ROONEY’s son Kai was spotted wearing a SCOTLAND shirt ahead of their clash with Morocco.

But don’t worry fans, he hasn’t turned his back on his homeland.

In fact, Kai donned the Scot’s iconic blue shirt for a wholesome reason.

He took to Instagram on Friday night to share a snap of himself wearing a shirt with Fletcher on the back.

But it wasn’t an homage to Red Devils legend and ex-Scotland star Darren.

It was a show of support to his United youth team team-mate Tyler, who was a late call-up to ‘s side.

His accompanying caption on the picture read: “Come on, my brother TylerFletch24.”

Kai and Tyler’s dads, of course, played together for several years at .

They won a litany of trophies together – 13 to be precise.

Fletcher was an unused substitute as the in their second World Cup match.

The midfielder was called up to the squad following ‘s withdrawal due to a knee injury.

Dad said of his son’s call-up to Kris Boyd: “[I’m] immensely proud, immensely proud.

“It’s amazing what he’s done. Great lads, both of them are.

“But obviously, really proud of that he is here and part of the squad for a World Cup and he’s enjoying every minute of it.”

When pressed on not making it to the World Cup during his heyday, Darren added: “To be honest, I wouldn’t have it any other way.

“You want your sons to do better than you, you want them to achieve amazing things.”
