A ‘PSYCHIC’ World Cup guru with an impressive record of predicting past winners has tipped a surprise contender to lift the trophy this summer.

Michael Bruno of completed a remarkable hat-trick by tipping to win in 2010, to win in 2014 and to win in 2018.

And his 2022 prediction (France again) was only wrong because beat Les Bleus in an agonising penalty shootout in the final.

There could be another deep run for France this summer, with many punters backing their ultra-deep squad to go all the way.

But Bruno is instead tipping PORTUGAL to win their first ever World Cup.

He told Globo Esporte : “Since 2022, I’ve been announcing the next champion team. Since then, I’ve been stating that will be the world champion.”

Spain, France, England, Argentina and Brazil are the most heavily backed teams with Portugal, Germany and the Netherlands among the dark horses.

Portugal begin their campaign against on June 17 and will tackle subsequent group games against and before a potential clash with England in the knockout rounds.

Bruno predicts that Argentina will be knocked out in the quarter-finals this time round, and his native Brazil will not make it past the semis.

He said: “I don’t think is 100 per cent fit to play in this World Cup.

“And if he does play, once again, the national team will be eliminated before the semi-finals, because the team will revolve around him, repeating the tactical mistake of 2022.”
