Woman in her 30s ‘sexually assaulted’ in town centre high street after man ‘ran up behind her’ as cops release CCTV

COPS are desperately hunting a man after a woman was sexually assaulted by an individual who “ran up behind her” and touched her inappropriately.

The woman was walking along Banbury High Street in Oxfordshire on Sunday, August 24, when the terrifying incident occurred.

Police said someone ran up behind the woman as she passed the Leeds Building Society and touched her inappropriately over he clothes.

Thames Valley Police were contacted and launched an investigation into the incident.

Officers have now released an image of a man they would like to speak to, who they believe may have vital information about the “attack.”

Investigating officer, PC Joshua Longmate, said: “We are releasing an image of a man who we believe may have vital information about this incident.

“If you recognise him, or if this is you, we would ask that you please call Thames Valley Police on 101 or make a report online quoting reference 43250433753.

“If you do not wish to speak to the police directly, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
