CCTV Released as Police Search for Man After Woman Assaulted in Toy Store at Shopping Centre

A WOMAN was sexually assaulted by a man while shopping at a children’s toy store.

The woman was at the Toytown store in the Cleveland Centre, Middlesbrough, when a man, approximately 18 years old, sexually assaulted her as he was leaving the store.

Police have released a CCTV image of a man who may have information regarding the assault, which occurred at 3:30 PM on December 8.

PC Carling, from Middlesbrough’s response team, stated: “We have conducted several inquiries since the sexual assault was reported to the police.

“This includes acquiring CCTV footage and reviewing it in an effort to identify the man in the photograph, who could possess information that could aid the investigation.

“I urge anyone in the public who knows the identity of this man, or the man himself, to reach out to us.

“Additionally, anyone with further information that may assist with our inquiries is also encouraged to contact us.”

Police described the suspect as being approximately 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall and around 18 years old.

He is reported to have a slim build, black hair, and an Eastern European accent.
