A WOMAN has tragically passed away following a devastating four-vehicle collision in a supermarket parking lot.
The fatal incident occurred at a supermarket in Saltash, Cornwall, on Thursday, according to police reports.
Emergency services swiftly arrived at the scene at 11:45 AM after receiving reports of a crash at Waitrose.
Devon and Cornwall Police reported that a blue Volvo V40 collided with a Suzuki Swift, a Ford Focus, and a Mercedes Sprinter van, all of which were parked and unoccupied at the time of the incident.
Police, ambulance, and air ambulance units were all present at the scene following the alarming crash.
Sadly, the driver of the Volvo, a 78-year-old woman from Saltash, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The parking lot was cordoned off while officers conducted their investigation, and they are now seeking anyone who may have witnessed the incident.
