Sensational Nigerian singer, Divine Ikubor, aka Rema, has revealed that late afrobeat pioneer, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, Wizkid, Burna Boy and American rapper, Kanye West inspired him to do music.
He disclosed this in an interview with Hip TV.
Rema said he is inspired by Burna Boy’s story, Wizkid’s lifestyle and Kanye West’s creativity.
He said, “I’m inspired by Burna [Boy] because of his story. Fela [Kuti] inspires me. Kanye West [inspires me] because of how far he goes in terms of his creativity, production.
“I really like Wiz [kid] because of how he carries himself.”
He said he plans to stay consistent by being original and unique.
