Will Wylan be in Shadow and Bone season 2?

Wylan Van Eck is a very important character in the Six of Crows duology by Leigh Bardugo, which consists of Six of Crows and Crooked Kingdom.

Wylan is a fan-favorite character from Bardugo’s books, and of course, fans want to know if and when Wylan will join Shadow and Bone, the new Netflix original series.

Is Wylan in Shadow and Bone?

Not yet, but Wylan will be!

Well, that all depends on if Netflix renews Shadow and Bone for season 2, of course.

In a recent interview with Collider, showrunner Eric Heisserer said that bringing in Wylan for season 2 is already in the plan.

 I would love to talk about what we might get to see from Six of Crows in the second season. I can tease this much that there will be a hundred percent more Wylan. We’d like to introduce him for sure. And we would like to spend at least a little bit more time in Ketterdam. We kind of had to yoink our Crows away from that in Season 1 and throw them toward the Fold and beyond for their heist. And I think at least part of next season should be a home game for our team

Even though we haven’t met him yet, Wylan’s mark is already on the first season.

In the interview, Heisserer said the phosphorus bomb that Kaz uses to get away from the Darkling was supplied by none other than Wylan.

So, that’s something for fans of the series to look forward to. Wylan’s inclusion in Shadow and Bone season 2 would mean more of the Crows, more Ketterdam, and probably the beginning, at least, of the little trip to the Ice Court from Six of Crows.

Based on the timeline, that could get a little tricky, but I think there’s potential we’ll see the Crows set sail by at least the end of season 2 if we don’t get to see the whole plot unfold.

So, there you have it, if Shadow and Bone is renewed for season 2, Wylan is a guaranteed addition in the new season.

I’m all in on Shadow and Bone! I can’t wait for season 2. I can’t imagine Wylan will be the only new character we meet in season 2, so stay tuned for some casting decisions.
