The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Working Committee (NWC), aligned with the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has sanctioned the formation of a Caretaker Committee in Oyo State.
A statement from Umar Bature, the National Organising Secretary of the Caretaker Committee, announced Prof. Abdulrahman Akinoso as the Chairman and Biola Olanipekun as the Secretary.
The statement, titled “Appointment of Oyo State Caretaker Committee,” declared: “The National Working Committee (NWC) of our esteemed party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has approved the following appointments for the Oyo State Caretaker Committee.”
“Consequently, the assignment will commence on December 24th, 2025, and the Committee is tasked with managing the affairs of the Party in Oyo State as outlined in Section 21(2)(a-b) of our Party Constitution for a period not exceeding 30 days.”
The appointed members include: Prof. Abdulrahman Akinoso – Chairman, Mr. Adio Dauda Tolani – Member, Hon. Ali Hammed Okesola – Member, Prince Adewale Lukuman Adewale – Member, Mr. Tunde Sikiru Adeniran – Member, Alhaja Risikat Kola Popoola – Member, and Hon. Kabiru Adesokan – Member.
Additional members are: Hon. Yekini Adebisi Toyosi – Member, Hon. Rotimi Adewuyi – Member, Hon. Musbau Olayowola – Member, Hon. Oyewole Olaosebikan – Member, Hon.
