VIKTOR GYOKERES has secured a spot in Wayne Rooney’s top three Premier League players of the season so far, despite only netting FOUR goals.

However, Rooney has been impressed with Gyokeres' influence beyond just scoring goals.
Sharing his top three players after 11 matches this season, the Manchester United legend told Amazon Prime : “Top three, probably [Antoine] Semenyo.
“I think he’s been outstanding for Bournemouth, maintaining his form from last season.
“I’d also include.
“He’s performed really well for Manchester United, even amidst a tough start to the season for the club. He’s been impressive.
“For the third spot, I’d likely go with Gyokeres.
“Arsenal has been in need of a new number nine for several years, and he’s stepped in.
“He’s also scoring a few goals, so I’d say that’s my top three.”
Only two players have surpassed Semenyo’s six goals this season, and
Gyokeres is tied with several others on four goals but has yet to provide an assist like Semenyo and Mbeumo.
Erling Haaland is the only player with more total goal contributions than Semenyo, who has also assisted his teammates three times.
While Gyokeres has recorded just three from open play in the league,
the 27-year-old transitioned from Portugal, where he consistently scored during two prolific seasons.
The Swedish No.9 netted 68 goals with 18 assists across 66 league appearances in the Primeira Liga.
Semenyo and Mbeumo are also coming off their best seasons in England.
The new United forward scored 20 goals (15 without penalties) and provided seven assists during his time at Brentford.
