Featuring talent across generations, the cast is expected to elevate both the distinctive charm and production quality of the series, delivering a story that is sharp, layered, and entertaining.
The teaser trailer launches the high-stakes mind games with a line from Oh Gwan Seok (Ryu Seung Ryong), who says, “If it’s true, we all hit the jackpot. If it’s just a rumor, we all miss out.”; The story follows a group of charactersâa tomb raider, appraiser, police officer, broker, and driverâeach with different backgrounds and motives, who become entangled in the pursuit of one shared goal: a sunken treasure ship.
From the thick dialect of Professor Kim (Kim Eui Sung), who declares, “So many scumbags together in one place,”; to the bold proclamation from Yang Jeong Sook (Im Soo Jung), who says, “Whatever you manage to salvage, I’ll buy it all,”; the dialogue breathes life into the characters and adds energy to the story. With characters drawn from across South Koreaâincluding Seoul, Busan, and Mokpoâthe variety of regional dialects adds texture and authenticity. Combined with the retro production design set in the 1970s, the series grounds itself in a vivid and immersive setting.
