WAFU B Women’s Champions League: Bayelsa Queens floor Ghana’s Police Ladies

Bayelsa Queens have started their campaign in the 2025 WAFU B Women’s Champions League with a 2-1 victory over Police Ladies of Ghana, DAILY POST reports.

The Nigeria Women Football League, NWFL, champions started the game brightly, and netted the opening goal through Shakirat Moshood in the 12th minute.

Whyte Ogbonda’s side maintained their lead in the first half.

New signing Emem Essien doubled the advantage two minutes after the hour mark.

Police Ladies pulled a goal back through Mary Berko in the 67th minute.

Bayelsa Queens will face ASKO of Togo in their next game on Wednesday.
