WAFU B U-20 Tourney: Flying Eagles, Ghana share spoils in opener

The Flying Eagles of Nigeria held hosts Black Satellites of Ghana to a 1-1 draw in the opening fixture of the 2025 WAFU B U-20 Championship.

Ghana took control of the game from the start, pinning the Flying Eagles to their own half.

Captain Aziz Misbau gave the Black Satellites the lead in the 22rd minute.

Nigeria fought back 10 minutes from time, equalising through Abdullahi Muhammad.

Aliyu Zubairu’s side will face Benin Republic in their next game.

The Flying Eagles are the defending champions of the competition.
